Next to our small nature campground is a beautiful holiday home in the middle of nature. Jurjen made the cottage all by yourself and ensured that you can completely relax. The kitchen is a real “Oldtimer” but also with oven. A large dining room table overlooking the storks, a nice sofa to quietly read a book. A spacious shower with a fine jet. The wood-fired Hottub can be rented separately for €90,- for a weekend and €120,- for a midweek/week.

A unique water villa with a very luxurious look. Our water villa is located next to the marina of Warten near the beautiful nature reserve the Alde Feanen. A beautiful part of Friesland, with beautiful sunsets. There are many cycling routes around this area, including the famous ferry route. The parking lot at the water villa has a charging station. A maximum of 2 vehicles are allowed at the arkenpark

Rome's view: nice vacation rental in the middle of Friesland

Centrally and rurally located in Friesland, our 6-person vacation home is located. Close to nature reserve the Alde Feanen and close to the water sports village of Earnewald, but our capital Leeuwarden is also easily accessible. Lovely area for biking or walking. In the Alde Feanen, there is plenty to do for water sports enthusiasts. Also a day to one of the Wadden Islands is possible.

We enjoyed staying on the houseboat located in a very quiet area at the marina. The property is right on the harbor overlooking it and is right on the water back. It offers all the amenities you need for a holiday. The host is extremely nice and was helpful at all times and has already offered support when booking and responded flexibly to requests. The location is ideal to cross the adjacent Alde Faenen National Park, e.g. by rented boat (independently via Greenjoy in the harbor). Also can visit beautiful cities nearby such as Leuwarden, Sneek, Joure etc. I fully recommend the accommodation.

Geke was a great hostess. The place is amazing. It's one of the most beautiful places we've ever had. The apartment is beautifully decorated and super clean. The kitchen is super equipped. By car, it takes about 20-30 minutes to the sea, the area is super nice, idyllic and quiet. We especially liked the small veranda. We recommend the place to everyone and would love to come again.

We had a lovely stay at Hein, Doete and Lotte's cottage. We stayed there with our two sons (2.5 and 10 months) and for them both there was a nice bed and lots of toys, both inside and outside. The cottage is beautifully located with plenty to do in the area. The swimming pool on the campsite is nice, you can rent a boat and go boating, or use the bikes (both with child seat) to explore the area, which is really beautiful!

The place is perfectly maintained and I didn't miss anything. The hostess Aukje lives right next door. She is very friendly and if you need anything, then the short walk next door is enough. Good supermarkets close by. Since I was only here for road cycling, I can't write anything about the city of Drachten. But for road cycling, it is an ideal starting point for extensive tours in all directions. I'd love to come back.

We enjoyed a weekend in this unique location on the water. It started well when the house arrived when we arrived. Then we sailed to a place on the lake with the house, the rest of the weekend we could sail back and forth with a small boat. Unique experience and super friendly contact, really recommended!

Our family spent a lovely three weeks on the ark. The ark is one of several arks that share a private canal area (that can be swam in) next to Warten marina. It is very close to a National Park that we explored by bike, on foot and by boat. The ark is about 30 mins from the ferry to Ameland and about 20 mins from Leeuwarden. There is a wide choice of supermarkets within about a 15 min drive.
