A very comfortable large 100,4m² (1080 ft²) apartment on the third floor (no lift) for up to six persons, close to the old harbor and only 950 m from the city center in the residential area of downtown Reykjavík (101). Free public parking across the street. The house is in front of a primary school which I love because it is so alive when the children go out to play. The school started at 08:30 and you might hear the bell ringing and children and parents coming to school.

Ragnheiður’s apartment was the perfect base for exploring Reykjavik and beyond. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood but with nice cafes and restaurants nearby (thanks for the recommendations!). This is Ragnheiður’s actual apartment and, as such, is full of personal possessions. While some people might be put off by this, I found it a welcome change to some sterile AirBnB places that have obviously never been lived in and are just set up to squeeze in the maximum number of guests. The fact that the kitchen had cupboards stocked with salt, pepper, and oil, not to mention a decent amount of plates and cutlery, made it feel a real home from home. Communication was excellent and very quick. Check in was simple, and check out just involved leaving the keys behind in the apartment when we left. The balcony looked inviting, but sadly the weather wasn't good enough to use it while we were there, though the large living room windows let in lots of light.

Highly Recommend! My room, the bathroom and the living room were super clean. The living room was super cozy and a great place to pause during day. My room was quite small, but perfect for rest after a long day of exploring. The bathroom was shared, but always maintained clean! Overall, a great home base to return at the end of the day!

Rùnar’s home is perfect to rest after an icelandic adventure. It’s warm, comfortable and nice, with an amazing ocean view (we had the chance to contemplete an eruption too!) and good markets near by. There is a delicious little fish market too, at few steps. Reykjavìk is easily reachable by walking (half an hour) or with bus and Seltjarnarnes is a peaceful and welcoming neighborhood. Rùnar and his family are helpful and kind. Thank you for sharing your home!

Super responsive and helpful host, clear instructions when landing on how to enter and find the apartment! Beautiful views on clear days, lots of food spots close by! Whale watching docks are only a short stroll away. The apartment was exactly as described, very comfortable and lots of amenities within the apartment. A great location to explore Reykjavík!
