We absolutely loved how quaint and clean this place was! I would recommend requesting for the back deck area and kitchen to be cleaned prior to arrival, we opted not to use it because we didnt have enough time there to spend on cleaning it. Ruby was great and so responsive- we had everything we needed. The smores were a cute touch!

Spent a beautiful weekend with my family. My daughter loved the animals. Dennis was very nice with us, he gave a bucket of animal food for my daughter and she had a blast feeding the animals. It is a paceful and quiet place, perfect for a gateway!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at the Ranch in the Tiny Home and I love it!!!

Lovely and clean three bedroom lake cottage across the road from the lake, with good views of Lake Palestine from the house and 15 minute drive to Chandler. Good kitchen and bathrooms, beds are comfortable. Nice back porch, with shade in the morning. They have constructed a viewing porch above the new concrete covered driveway for even better lake views. It's peaceful to sit up there, or sit on the front porch and also view the lake. The road in front of the house is quiet, with little traffic, and walkable to both sides, good lake views during walks along the road near the lake. The concrete driveway was closed while we were there, so ask the hostess if the driveway is open if you need additional parking. Construction of the new driveway and shed looked mostly finished, but a new fence was in process. Also there is little drawer space for your stuff, you may have to live out of a suitcase. We stayed three nights.

5-Star Stay at the Perfect Fishing Getaway! We had an amazing stay at this cozy two-room cottage on Lake Athens! It was the perfect spot for a fishing getaway. The dock was ideal for tying up our boat, making it easy to head out early in the morning or relax on the water in the afternoon. The sunsets over the lake were absolutely stunning—something we looked forward to every night as we sat on the porch and reminisced. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking up fresh meals, and the outdoor smoker was a fantastic bonus for preparing some delicious meals. The friendly neighbors even shared a few great fishing spots with us, which made our trip even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a peaceful lakeside retreat with great fishing, beautiful views, and all the comforts of home, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a very good time and we a really didn’t have to leave for anything delivery for everything was available or it was a gated community.

Our stay here was wonderful! The house was beautiful and plenty of space for 4 adults 2 toddlers an 8 year old and 2 dogs! The view is beautiful and the area is so peaceful! We look forward to visiting again when the weather is warmer so we can really enjoy some family time on the lake! The kitchen has all the utensils you could need to make a big family meal! Bob was very easy to communicate with and very responsive throughout the whole process from the booking inquiry to check out! 10/10 would recommend his home!

We needed a place large enough to host a large family and wedding rehearsal dinner. This house fit the bill perfectly. There was a newborn in the family so the separate housing was definitely a plus. The yard was well kept and allowed for some nice pictures. We needed to be able to make the wedding cakes and the kitchen was a perfect fit. We all had a great time.
