Vacation rentals in Skorradalshreppur

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway in a spot that has views for miles (literally), with a great host & is super clean, this is it. We have stayed in many Airbnbs and this was fabulous. The sea, river, fields, mountains & snow are all visible from the living room! The host had great, nearby recommendations for hikes, views & a geothermal spa & restaurant. Even the grocery store is close (which made for great dinners in!) We were all sad to leave even though the Northern Lights missed us with the cloud cover. The hot pot is a plus!

This home was absolutely perfect! We wanted something that was away from the hustle bustle of life but driveable to local sites. We were able to do days trips to amazing locations but then rest in the home with a wonderful hot tub with stellar views. We were even able to see the auroras while steaming in the hot tub! The hosts were beyond helpful and we can't thank them enough for communicating so well and for being so willing to help. We were offered super early check-in due to our early flight. And thanks to them we were able to change our reservations on the spot as we made a huge mistake on our end!

This is an amazing cabin for a nice and peaceful break. The view and surroundings are incredible! We went at the end of October and it got to -4C some nights, but the cabin is nice and cosy and warm - and the hot tub perfect for whatever time of the day you want to use it. Because there's no light pollution, the clear sky's were awesome, sat there looking for shooting stars! On our last night we experienced some spectacular Northern Lights - incredible!! The nearest town - Borgarnes - is a 25 minute drive away and has an awesome bakery. Also supermarkets and a local swimming pool. There is a very steep drive up to the cabin which we couldn't drive up in our Cat B hired car, so parked at the bottom and walked up (helped us work off the cakes we had from the bakery though!). Would highly recommend for a peaceful stay within pure countryside.

We really enjoyed staying in this lovely place!

We booked this place specifically because it was away from the city so we could see the northern lights. And it paid off. We got to sit as a family in the hot tub and relax. The house was clean and comfortable. The hot tub system was under construction a bit so my guess is the next guest will have a fully working system.

Such amazing views in this super cozy cabin! We felt right at home, and was a great location near Borgarnes. Super easy to hop on the road and go sight-see, then come back to a nice warm home after.

Gudny was an amazing, generous, and kind host. We felt immediately right at home and the home is well stocked with everything you could need as you adventure around Iceland. The location was excellent for our needs and it was quiet with beautiful views. The home was exactly as expected and the hot tub and outdoor shower were excellent! We would 100% stay again and highly recommend staying!!
