Clara and her husband well way above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. They could've just passed me the key and showed me the room, but they decided to do a whole tea appreciation session where we sat around a fireplace and share life perspectives. The next morning, they even cooked a 4 dish breakfast for me, making sure that everything they used was organic. If you're keen to immerse yourself in a village setting, they're definitely the place to be Highlight of my solo grad trip

Eric’s place was very quiet and away from the crowded place near Sun Moon Lake but not too far away. Very good and peaceful mountainous surrounding. Eric’s family was very nice and greeted us. Eric was always responsive and accommodative

The room was incredibly spacious and you immediately feel at home in the bed and breakfast. They are very strict about noise which is great so everyone can rest and the cats are very relaxed too. They made a vegetarian breakfast for me both days which was healthy, fresh, and delicious. The place is walking distance to many things as well.

Dave was great and helpful!! The room was big enough and in a good location. The breakfast isn't great and we would have preferred an Asian style breakfast especially being in Taiwan. It is an American style all you can eat breakfast. Coffee costs more. You can pay to do laundry too. They provided bike rental coupons and ordered us lunch takeout and had umbrellas to borrow!!

Would highly recommend staying at Doris' house if you plan a visit to Sun Moon Lake. It will be better if laundry and dry cleaning services are available but I'm clutching straws here. Greg and Kim are lovely host. The decor is nice. Definitely a must for cat lovers.

The room is large, the layout is reasonable, the washing and drying machine is very convenient, there is a lot of food and drink nearby, I will choose here next time I come to Donghai.

The building and apartment were very nice - clean and spacious - and our host was very responsive. The location was also good.

Had a great stay at Nina and Bud’s place. We took an Uber from Taichung HSR as we had luggage and easier than lugging it around on the bus lines. We were able to leave our luggage with the front desk before check in, and got a message from the hosts when we were able to get into our room. The washer was very useful and easy to use. There was a laundry line with clips, but we weren’t able to figure out where to hang that. Might’ve just been user error on our end. Very easy to get to touristy spots such as Chun Shui Tang, Miyahara bookstore, and Fengjia on the bus lines from the apartment. Definitely recommended this host if you are looking to stay in Taichung!

Very nice and cozy bungalow with beautiful garden. Gives me the vibe of Australia Airbnb. 10/10 cleanliness. Just the shower area and toilet bowl area are not separated, makes the floor wet but with slippers it’s okay. Very satisfied staying experience.

Really good tiny home surrounding by lost of food and a local traditional market, easy to find lots of great food from early morning to midnight. Really recommend to everyone who wish to have a local life in Taizhong

I visited Taiwan with my elderly parents and my brother and needed a place with an elevator because my father needs a wheelchair to move around. Yu-Kai/Angel's house was the perfect home for our stay. Plenty of room for all of us. Master bedroom on the 2nd floor is huge and beautiful. Every bedroom (5 bedrooms available) has its own bathroom and A/C units so that comfort can be adjusted individually. A/C controls were a little confusing to figure out initially, but Angel responded immediately to help. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals (we used electric rice cooker to steam buns, fish, eggs, etc.) Lots of bottle water was provided. Would have been nice though to have more variety of pots and pans but cooking isn't an absolute necessity since take out food delivery is abundant (foodpanda and UberEats both deliver in the area). I also did some hiking in Dakeng Scenic Area (only 5 minutes away). Overall we had a wonderful stay.

This time I had the opportunity to stay in your homestay in the mountains with my family, and I really appreciate you providing such a wonderful and welcoming space.From the moment we arrive, we are deeply drawn to the natural beauty of the surroundings, the air is fresh and the view makes the whole body and mind relaxed. The decoration of the homestay is also very hot, and you can see your attention in the middle of the details, whether it's staging, lighting, or even the bed and supplies, it's very comfortable to feel like you're back at home. Our family had a very pleasant time here, whether it was in a homestay chatting, cooking, or walking around to see the scenery, where there was a sense of surprise and relaxation.This trip brought us closer to each other and made a precious memory. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality and care and for creating such a wonderful space.If we have the opportunity in the future, we will definitely be back and will be recommending it to family and friends!

This place is a dream…. Simply very special and highly recommended to stay here. The accommodation is very quiet and idyllic in the middle of the mountains/forest...Simply a place to come down and marvel...Everything very clean. Communication problem-free and we were always quickly helped with our affairs. The food was very good. Breakfast was included and dinner could be booked and very delicious. I would Recommend the place to anyone and stay here again at any time...

The home was suitable for our needs. Be aware that it is not very close to town — either a long walk or a short drive. It is also lacking a comfortable couch/lounge area — it has a large dining room table, though.
