Ce merveilleux chalet japonais nous a permis de vraiment nous ressourcer, absolument tout est magnifiique, auntant la maison comme les environs. La maison ne manque de rien, chaque détail était pensée pour que nous nous sentions à l’aise. Nous avons aprécié chaque espace (et il y en a beaucoup). La voiture est par contre indispensable. C’est un endroit idéal pour y séjourner en couple, entre amis et aussi avec des enfants. Un vrai coup de coeur!❤️

This was a beautiful place, spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Close to the 40th temple and a great spot for walking pilgrims. Highly recommended.

Beautifully designed house with refined and chic furniture and fixtures. Host Minmi was so sweet and helpful, she explained how everything worked in the bathroom and we were able to do a load of laundry as well. She welcomed us with fresh bread and jam from a local bakery as well as champagne! She recommended a wonderful ceramics artist where we bought presents for our friends and also cooked us an amazing dinner of fresh local fish tacos which was a highlight of our whole trip! Very communicative and also did not bother us the whole time so we had our privacy as well. Highly recommend this elegant seaside house!

The only place to stay when visiting Kochi or even Shikoku. We found this property by chance on Air BnB and didn’t realise how much of a gem it was. Upon arriving we were greeted by Akiko who showed us around this amazing and historic house. He made us feel at home and informed on the facilities available. They also booked us a reservation for dinner that evening and gave us lots of recommendations for sightseeing in the area. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. We even got to swim in the nearby river which was like something from a movie! Beautiful! The breakfasts were made by Akio and Akiko and very delicious - the best breakfast we have eaten in Japan! All fresh and locally sourced ingredients. There is also a local shop next door which sells a small amount of produce and crafts! Overall we recommend this property to anyone wanting an unforgettable experience on Shikoku with fabulous Japanese hospitality. Thankyou to Akio, Akiko and children! 💙💙💖

素晴らしいロケーション。窓からベランダからの海の眺めはすばらしい。一軒家の中の設備も最新式でクオリティーが高い。そして広いリビングに書庫があり、いろんなジャンルの本が並んでいて1日ゆったり本を読んでも過ごせる環境。家具、かかっている絵、スケッチ、全てオーナーの愛情が注がれているのを感じることができます。

Staying at Roseanne’s place was an absolute joy. Her beautiful house was immaculate and so aesthetically pleasing. Roseanne met us when we arrived, showed us round and offered lots of recommendations and local knowledge in addition to the list she sent before we checked in. We went to Nakatsu Gorge which was stunning as well as the Shimanto River. We went to a local restaurant called Yakiniku which had the best beef we’ve ever eaten and also took a drive to eat at Chika which was an incredible Izakaya place serving up many different delicious dishes including lots of local fish. The only problem with our time in Shimanto was we didn’t stay long enough! Such a beautiful part of Japan with some of the most friendly and welcoming people we’ve met on our trip. Roseanne’s place is the perfect base to explore and then return to and really relax as well. She is a lovely host, so friendly and generous with her time and knowledge of the locality. Highly recommend!

I loved staying here! The host was so friendly and very funny and sweet I felt welcome and relaxed! My room was clean and comfortable with a warm and fluffy futon and I slept really well. Most importantly the location was so beautiful! The stars on the clear night were amazing but maybe even better was the sea of clouds that appeared over the town in the morning! You really feel that you are completely at peace in nature. I came here on a pilgrim walking trip and the location is excellent for this journey and the nice house with a kind host is the perfect place to relax after the long day 💕

We had a lovely time. A very nice getaway from the busy cities we visited during our trip. With beautiful surroundings to wake up to, this was really nice. The Airbnb was quite large but also very clean. I would definitely recommend this place.
