Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Shawnee County

What an amazing little cottage. We loved our stay in Topeka. 5 star treatment all around and would recommend this little cottage to anyone who stays in Topeka.

We brought a trip of twelve 7th and 8th grade students to Topeka for a school trip, and all twelve kids and five adults fit in this home comfortably. There was room to spread out and keep the two genders separated. The adults all had rooms. The bed that I used was comfortable. The kids liked being able to explore the space and found a pond nearby. We utilized the fire pit and made s'mores, which was also a fun experience with the students. The kitchen was nice to be able to prepare dinner for our group on Friday. We used the oven to cook pizza. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Topeka with this group. The home is a wonderful old farmhouse with lots of character and is well-kept. the property is also well kept with the hosts being very responsive to inquiries.

The place worked well for our stay in Topeka. Was convenient to what we were doing for the weekend. Great place to stay.

I always stay at Gary's place when I am in Topeka. The location is great for my visit with family and I really like being close to the Shunga Trail. The pool table is also a very nice feature.

we spent a week here for work and fields really nice, after long day a work have a nice place to rest & relax and that's Sara's place,,,is clean, peaceful, has everything we looking for, really enjoyed 😉

This was the perfect little getaway for the night for my daughter and I. It was so cozy and quiet and we had a blast playing all the available games. We both felt asleep watching movies on the giant couch it was so comfortable. Our hosts were very responsive and greeted us when we arrived and assured to reach out if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back!

Booking was incredibly easy and the host was very responsive from start to finish. The property is located just outside of town in the peaceful countryside, offering a relaxing overnight stay with the convenience of a quick return to town when needed. The area is spacious and well-kept, with a nice circle drive that made parking easy. We were traveling with our dogs, and they had plenty of room to roam. The nearby walking trail was perfect for a little outdoor time, and the presence of horses on the property added a charming, serene touch. One of the highlights of our stay was watching the gorgeous sunset—it was absolutely stunning and the perfect way to end the day. Highly recommend, a perfect stop to rest and recharge. We’d definitely stay again!

I enjoyed my time at Brandon's place. It was perfect for a visiting mom. The place was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable which is often not the case at AirBnBs and there was an abundant supply of blankets and pillows. The bathroom was well appointed and even had a curling iron. The shower was piping hot and with good water pressure. I enjoyed the area. The apt is at the back of a cul de sac making it quite quiet. While I didn't do any walking, the neighborhood seemed quite walkable and it's in easy driving distance of great restaurants, bars and, of course, the campus. I will happily stay there again.

Peaceful, tranquil, and quiet- the perfect getaway for an introvert needing a break from the hustle and bustle or just anyone who wants to check out and slow down for a little while.

My husband and I were looking for a secluded place to spend our first weekend together away from our 3 year old. The Vassar cabin was secluded and private, and the proximity to the water was exactly what we wanted. The hot tub made it even easier to relax.

Sherry was one of the best hosts we have had. She was very quick to respond if we needed anything and was genuinely concerned that we had a wonderful stay. You couldn't ask for a better host. Everything was exactly as described and shown. This was the most well outfitted place we have ever stayed. We cooked our own meals outside on the grill and inside the kitchen, everything we needed or could want was there. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows perfect. The towels were new and soft as could be. If I had to describe the whole thing in a word, it would be quality. It is obvious Sherry has a high standard for herself. I would stay here if I had business in Topeka or Manhattan. It is a short drive to both but the peace and quiet here is worth every mile. It was so quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We saw deer, turkeys, and a Bald Eagle so yes, you are in the country here but with good internet! We highly recommend it.

My husband & I stayed a weekend with two dogs and the place worked out really well for us. It’s very spacious and the dogs loved the cool polished concrete floors to relax on. The cattle in the pasture with a sunrise/sunset in the backdrop was picture perfect! Quiet & Peaceful! We visited with our hosts and they were super friendly and helpful…very nice couple! We enjoyed our weekend very much and would stay again if in the area.

Absolutely loved staying here, a little tricky to find so I definitely recommend using Google Maps instead of Apple Maps but that’s my own fault 😅 So peaceful, quiet & secluded it was the perfect spot to get out of the noisy city. would 100% stay here again & recommend to others!
