What a wonderful cottage vacation. The beautiful outlook from sitting on the porch with wine and cheese on hand was a peaceful and blissful experience. The walking trails nearby were challenging but provided us with an opportunity to be in awe of the Karri forests. Some lovely little wineries in the area for tastings after our challenging hikes. Wish we could be back there now.

Wow what a gem of a place! Julia was incredibly responsive and left us with a great book of local recommendations and activities to do. The love shack is surrounded by farm land and waking up to the baby calves running around on our doorstep was unforgettable! Each evening sitting under the tree with a wine in hand was my favourite part! This place is a must visit for peace, quiet and serenity, it was exactly what we needed! Cannot recommend enough.

We loved staying here, with the beautiful views and the well equipped house. Host was very responsive. Very pleasant stay.

I have already recommended this place to so many of my family and friends. We absolutely loved the location, and the cabin was super clean, cosy and well presented. The views across the inlet are stunning. It is so secluded and tranquil, just watching the swans and pelicans glide along the water is incredibly soothing. We took the canoe out for a couple of hours of adventuring and were so spoilt to have all that majesty mostly to ourselves and the birds. Staying there recharged our batteries. It was just glorious.

Everything about this place is a dream. The beautiful surroundings are breathtaking, the peace and quiet of waking up with a cuppa and watching the beautiful birds on our doorstep and the baby calves and kangaroos in the background was unforgettable. Graeme was incredibly kind and caring presenting us with the yummiest homemade scones on arrival and was incredibly responsive if we ever needed him. The cabin is exactly like the photos, homely and rustic. We had the most magical 2 nights away here and can’t wait to come back. We already miss our evening wine cheese and crackers with our furry friend Sky. Thanks again!

Lakeside Retreat is what makes staying in Airbnbs so special. A unique place that is comfortable, peaceful and beautiful. Wandering through the beautifully created gardens, watching and feeding birds on the deck and simply relaxing. Thank you Sally and Charles.
