This is the Mase Coast in Nishikan District (formerly Iwamuro Village), Niigata City. 25-min drive from Makari IC on the Hokuriku Expressway, 35 min from Sanjo-Tsubame IC.The horizon of Echigo Nanaura stretching out below. A morning walk on a deserted beach. A hiking trail that feels like the world of Ghibli. Nearby, there are secluded mountain cafes and There is also an Italian restaurant where you can watch the sunset over the sea. You can also purchase a lunch box from a famous restaurant in Iwamuro Onsen and spend a relaxing time. We are also planning agritourism so that you can cook and enjoy freshly harvested vegetables. 130-year-old private house on Sado Island｜TOM

When you open the front door, you first smell wood. Built 130 years ago, a house constructed by carpenters from the Meiji era still stands in the village of Yamada on Sado Island. There is an earthen floor, beams that rise high above you, and at the back, there is still a hearth where a fire can be lit. We haven't added anything to this house. We replaced the tatami mats, repaired the plumbing, and installed air conditioning, heating, and Wi-Fi. The rest of the 130 years has been left as it was. One group per day. Whether it's 1 person or 10 people, the entire house is available for rent. The kitchen, the veranda, the garden with a pond, and the storehouse are all yours for the day. In the evening, children run down the hallway, at night you look up at the stars in the garden, and in the morning you wake up to the sound of birds. This house is here for that kind of day. It is about a 10-minute drive to the shops in the Sawada area and about 6 minutes to a convenience store. It can also be used as a base for exploring the island.

The storehouse is over 145 years old and is registered as a Tangible Cultural Property by the Japanese government. The wooden building is a self-renovated building with the owner and friends. This is a private lodging facility where you can feel the history of Niigata, located at the end of a narrow alley in Niigata. Please let us know in advance if you'll be bringing small children. If you need to sleep with your child, we will attach the bed or install a baby gate for safety. We will assist you in person at check-in. At that time, we will explain the facility and do the bookkeeping. Please let us know at check-in if you need any tourist information. This is a facility where you can fully enjoy Niigata City. This is an old private house in the middle of Sado City, Niigata Prefecture, in the Shinho area of the Kunakun Plain. We renovated a 130-year-old house built in the Meiji era and opened it as an accommodation. A short walk from the inn, you can see the Kunonaka plains with rice fields and the dancing of the red egrets. The owner is a rice farmer, but he runs the Sado Nature School, which navigates the nature of Sado. You can also observe the clear starry sky of Sado while listening to the owner's commentary. Enjoy a relaxing time while enjoying the nature of Sado.
