we had an amazing stay. Deborah's house is very nice, super clean and so close to the beach. Balian is a perfect place for surfing with very good waves and much less crowdy than Uluwatu or other surf spots in Bali. Balinese people who facilitate your stay are so amazing, so kind, friendly. Breakfast, day tour, massage, surf lessons, ... everything was perfect. We are definitely going back in Balian andb in Deborah's house, not only for the place but also for the staff.

It’s hard to sum up I words how amazing this place was to stay. The treehouse was better than the photos and very connected to nature with beautiful view and landscaping around. This is a wonderful place to stay to connect with nature. It would not be good for some who don’t like bugs, but none really bothered us while we were there. The staff was friendly and proactive and thoughtfully cleaned the room when we were out or at breakfast. The staff was friendly and accommodating of any requests we had. They arranged local tours and recommended attractions which were all wonderful. The food from their restaurant is some of the best food we had on the trip. It was so thoughtfully made and plated with competitive pricing. We loved it! Their spa was fantastic and we both received great massages. Their natural pool was wonderfully refreshing and it was fun swimming with the fish! If we are ever back we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Lovely place!

Back again! Thank you so much to Wayan who keeps this stunning Villa absolutely spotless and is always available with his friendly smile - and delicious breakfasts each morning. This is an incredible place to visit and soak in the picture perfect rice field views, it's like stepping into a classic Balinese postcard. Not complete without a short walk to Nyeduh Kopi, plus now there is brand new warung directly across the road. Dragonfly Cottage is a must visit when in Bali, it is alive with the magic of nature, a real highlight for sure!!

Every detail, from the intricately wooden doors to the layout of the rock garden paths, and full of palm trees and rice fields, reflected a deep respect for traditional Balinese architecture. This wasn’t just a place to stay; it was an immersive experience that honored its surroundings. We left feeling not only well-rested, but also grateful to have stayed in a space so lovingly attuned to Bali’s rich heritage. I had a peaceful, magical stay here—deeply restful and nourishing. Anselmus and his staff were truly wonderful. Anselmus thoughtfully brought me to the sacred waterfall by motorbike, as it was too muddy for hiking. I also received a private blessing from their local priest at the water temple. The mystical grounds offered numerous serene spots for meditation and absorbing the breathtaking natural surroundings. Meals were generous and delicious, and I especially enjoyed the outdoor tub and private pool. Arrival via Gojek from Ubud was fairly easy, though arranging a local car for departure was best, as the location is quite remote. I'm grateful for every moment—the quiet beauty and warm hospitality.

The villa in Ubud is outstanding! The place as the most gorgeous view of the jungle in a private space with a huge comfy bed, and spotless amenities. The host was very proactive and flexible with us, asking when we wanted the villa cleaning, any help for booking trips etc. An absolute gem and a must-stay place when in Ubud if you want to be close to the city but far enough to feel part of the jungle surroundings
