The owner and staff were extremely kind and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, cleaned up daily. Whole resort was tidy and even during the windy season the beach was clean (cleaned up twice a day by the staff, unlike at other resorts). Free airport pick up, drop off and owner’s car available at any time made all the traveling super easy and comfortable. We definitely recommend to try sea food dinner at the resort - delicious! Even special requests were not a problem, the owner and staff helped with everything, service was excellent.

I wanted to wake on a beach and I did! Spacious wooden house in the west coast, with decent bathroom which has terrific floor tiles. There’s a road behind but I slept well in a comfortable bed. Waking to a beach view was delightful - jumped out of bed for a sea swim - bliss. Followed by yummy breakfast and coffee. I would have stayed longer but it was booked. Getting to Selayar was tricky. My flight cancelled so I went to outside Malangkeri terminal - and got a share car to Bira harbour 4 hours. The ferry left at 12 (usually 2 I hear) and arrived at 2 — then there’s a hour trip to Benteng city and then 40 minutes to the cottage. Long day travelling so fly if you can. Cottage is near the airport I hear. Expect to be lacking wifi and sometimes electricity. This is an island! Went on a day tour with Patrick and it was delightful- snorkeling, swimming, and inside a cave. All in all I would come back here - and will come October to April when the east coast is open for diving. Thanks for hosting Denis and Chris. Best wishes Shirley

Beach's Cottage (ideally for couple or family)

Very nice cabin on a lovely beach on the beautiful island of Selayar. I was happy cruising around with my scooter. Denis is an excellent host and he took me to an even more beautiful beach where we had a lovely bbq. I would go back in a heartbeat! Especially when the boat to Takabonerate is going and there are less waves so the snorkeling on the other side of the island is possible. Thank you again!
