BehrenSCHLAF vacation home Stay in the thatched farmhouse and discover nature and the countryside well rested. Built around 1780 as a smoking house, the farmhouse is protected under historic preservation and has been lovingly maintained. You will stay in our cozy apartment with a terrace to the south side and views of our garden. The cottage is located in the “Bothkamper See” nature reserve. It offers an outdoor hot tub, shower with nature view, steam sauna, wood-burning stove, terrace, XXL couch and super king size bed, fully equipped kitchen, ice maker, Bluetooth music system, record player, Wi-Fi, 2 x BBQ area, bicycles, home office, 2 x spa, private cinema, giant swing, fireplace, swimming area, wood chopper and much more. This tiny house on the lake is the perfect retreat. The fantastic view of the water, surrounded by green nature, creates a relaxed atmosphere. On sunny days you can enjoy the view, while the cozy book corner with sofa invites you to linger on cooler summer evenings. A comfortable double bed, a fully equipped kitchen and an environmentally friendly dry toilet offer you everything you need for a relaxing break.

Lovingly and with care, we have furnished our thatched cottage - in the hope that you and your family and / or friends will feel at home! A newly covered, local thatched roof, the restoration of the old dormer and a careful approach to the expansion in order to preserve as much as possible - that was important to us and characterizes this unique building. Unfortunately, we are not suitable for party groups!

Vacation in a historic farmhouse

Dieses historische Gebäude ist eine typisch norddeutsche Bauernkate und steht am Rand eines kleinen Dorfes mit freiem Blick auf die hügelige Landschaft. An die eigene Wiese hinter dem Haus schließt sich unser 2 ha großes Naturgrundstück an, mit vielen lauschigen Plätzen unter Bäumen und am Bach. Wir haben die Kate mit Naturmaterialien saniert und gemütlich ausgestattet, z.B. mit Kamin und kleiner Sauna.

The accommodation is part of our Quellental forest estate in Odderade, Dithmarschen district and is located in the middle of a forest clearing, nestled in a picturesque pond area. Our forestry operation is part of the largest forest area on the North Sea coast, the Riesewohld. Here, 700 hectares of partly uncultivated, natural forest invite you to linger and explore.
