Lake house vacation rentals in Schaalsee

Nice apartment right on the lake and we were personally welcomed by Maike and Andreas. We were also able to use kayaks and 2 e-bikes from them. Arriving by public transport would require a longer walk, the location is designed for the car.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment. Having traveled a lot, this apartment still stood out on top regarding cleanliness and the beautiful modern and stylish interieur. Communication was so easy and friendly, and everything went extremly smooth. If there were 6 stars, I would have given those.

We spent a very nice time in the small house on the lake and felt comfortable there. The view is fantastic and the tranquility on the very natural lake really relaxing and pleasant. We were able to go swimming nicely, as well as take some trips to the sea and to Kiel, which can be reached in about 45 minutes. The communication with Jürgen was very good and he was always available and gave us some good tips! In the description, it would be worth mentioning that no boats or boards or similar may be used on the lake and you have to drive to another lake for this. But the hanging swing on the lake shore is really great. We definitely enjoyed our vacation! Best regards, Lea and Jan

We had a great stay at Bettina's house and enjoyed the time very much. The house is super equipped with everything from daily needs...Our big son now gets a wooden train because he played so well with the set there. On the terrace, you can sit and grill, at night you can hear the frogs croaking and in the morning the birds singing. Even with a problem with the flush, Bettina got a plumber very quickly. Communication was very straightforward overall. I'd love to come back :)

The house was fantastic for our extended Easter weekend with 7 people. 3 bedrooms with en suite were super comfortable. The kitchen was very nicely large and very extensively equipped with dishes as well as cooking utensils. Excursions to the beach, to Lübeck and to Travemünde as well as the garden were a lot of fun for us. Nina was always easily accessible and responded promptly to all our questions and requests. That was a great weekend which we can wholeheartedly recommend without reservations.

It was a great Easter holiday for us. The place is quite and cozy. We also loved that house is baby friendly already. Melina was always responsive and helpful. Only disadvantage I can tell is there is not much area to walk around since the lake is surrounded by private houses and the road in front of the house is dead end, we had to use the car to explore the area. Also there is a free pedal boat to enjoy the lake.

We were looking for a quiet place between Lübeck and the beach resorts on the Baltic Sea. Lübeck, Timmendorfer Strand, Scharbeutz, Niendorf and Travemünde were within 20 minutes. The accommodation is located directly on the lake, unfortunately you can't walk around it, but the Henk family's farm is very nice at the end of a dead end. The cottage is very nicely remodeled and very comfortable! The view over the lake through the 3 large floor-to-ceiling windows is beautiful! We felt very comfortable there.

There were eight of us and we really enjoyed the stay. The location of the house is simply wonderful and the area is a dream! The kitchen is super equipped and if we had a question or needed something, we were always helped super quickly. Clear 10/10. We will definitely be back!

The space is highly recommended. My daughter said after an hour that she wants to give 5 stars:) Bettina and Florian are great hosts and her mill has a lot of charm. It is located at the end of a small village where it is very quiet. It is particularly nice that you can walk into the neighboring forest and the heath behind it and are therefore very close to nature. We will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful, spacious house with its own access to lake in the backyard. Everything was perfect for our short trip to Bad Segeberg. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The view from the living room, bedroom and attic living room was idyllic. The host is friendly and professional and the communication was excellent. Would absolutely recommend this place to all others.

We more than enjoyed our stay. Great place to stay, absolutely in line with the pictures. High-quality amenities, everything you need is there (especially the good kitchen equipment is worth mentioning). Everything planned and implemented with a view and attention to detail. It is a beautiful spacious house. We were there with 9 adults and 3 kids. Beautiful enclosed garden with Jacuzzi and sauna. The beach with the fishing pond and the playground within walking distance made it complete. It is close to Schwerin and Wismar.

We had a brilliant week in this house. The rooms were big and airy and we slept incredibly well in the beds. The stairs were a bit steep, but it was fine. The garden was full of beautiful flowers. In the street it was set up for play, and our kids found two neighboring children to play with. We had nice trips to Hansa-Park, Lübeck, Schwerin and Hamburg.

Beautiful cottage with direct views of Lake Sternberg. Great amenities, linens, towels, dish towels, everything was provided. Not only electricity, water and heating , also firewood was included. Nice big table, comfy sofa and big TV. The only small criticism was the mattresses that were too hard for us, but that's a matter of taste, of course. The price for the final cleaning with dog was extremely moderate. We can absolutely recommend the house.

This place gave us such a nice extended weekend. We were there 11 adults with 5 babies/toddlers and we didn't lack anything. The kids had a playroom upstairs and one right in the living/dining area. After getting up or after the sauna, the lake was cooled down. This one is just a few yards away. The kids also had fun at the lake. We actually also got the kayak from the garage next door and paddled a bit on the lake. In the evening, the children in the rooms could sleep peacefully, even if it got a little louder downstairs, there was absolutely nothing upstairs. The "game room" for the adults was perfect to occupy yourself in the evening. We were all very excited about this place and highly recommend it. By car you can easily reach the nearest restaurants or smaller towns. For example, we walked to Dobbertin (about 1 hour).

A wonderful house in a wonderful location. We felt very comfortable right away. The house has everything you need for a few relaxing days and is very comfortably furnished. From here you can immediately start great excursions to the surrounding area. There is very little internet. We didn't miss it. We would definitely recommend the house.

We felt very comfortable in the few days and you could also spend a longer time there without problems. Shopping and bakers are very close and you can also get everywhere by car.

We had a relaxing time in Zanzibar. The view from the sofa into the countryside and the pond is better than television. The house is well appointed and the landlords respond quickly and helpful. We slept peacefully in the comfortable beds. A small shortcoming, but manageable, is the lack of temperature adjustment in the sauna. With switching off in time, however, you can also get a good grip on the temperature for light sauna. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Villa Moana is a house with heart and soul. We felt super comfortable and would be happy to come back. The garden and the view of the gardens is the force, so much attention to detail and how everything is super individual. Thumbs up!
