YokaYado Kagoshima Chuo Fully renovated in 2024 and newly opened in 2025, it is a retro-modern private house with a sense of cleanliness! I created this inn with the concept of "a space where you can relax with your family and friends while enjoying the nostalgia of good old Japanese houses while fully enjoying Kagoshima sightseeing". The location is a 4-minute walk from the west exit of Kagoshima Chuo Station, the transportation center of Kagoshima City.Located in a quiet residential area, there are many restaurants, convenience stores, drug stores, supermarkets, and car rental shops within walking distance. It is about 40 minutes by shuttle bus from the airport to Kagoshima Chuo Station Bus Terminal.From Kagoshima Chuo Station, each tourist destination is about 10 minutes by tram to Tenmonkan, about 20 minutes by bus to Sakurajima Ferry Terminal, and about 50 minutes by JR Limited Express to Ibusuki Station and Kirishima Jingu Station, it is very conveniently located. The inn has a dining room, living room, bathroom, and three Japanese-style bedrooms (2 single beds, 3 double beds), and you can enjoy morning coffee and meals while feeling the south wind of Kagoshima on the roof balcony of more than 20 ㎡. It was a 5-minute walk from the station, so access was very good, and the ferry terminal was also close, so it was a convenient location for sightseeing and getting around.Although the exterior was a little aged, the interior was well renovated, and it was very beautiful and comfortable as shown in the photos. It was self check-in, but I received a polite email in advance, and I was able to check in smoothly.I was able to relax and enjoy the food I bought at a nearby supermarket using the clean dishes provided. I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.

Ayako was a great host, very responsive and helpful. Her two girls were very adorable and loveable. We had delicious breakfast and dinner. cooked by her mum. Her mum was very friendly too and some of the food was grown in her garden. We enjoyed our stay very mum and would recommend friends to visit her. We would give her a super-star rating.

Friendly traditional hostel, even if a little rustic! We enjoyed our stay and were well helped by our host, especially regarding the booking of our ferry to Yakushima. The recommendations given were also useful, the recommended ramen restaurant next door is absolutely delicious and the onsen opposite is a very affordable experience to do :)

Masatoshi's place is pristine and clean. The tableware and cooking utensil supply is good enough for a long stay. This Airbnb is situated in a very convenient place. It takes only 10 to 15 min. to the city center (Tenmonkan) and there is a couple of convenience stores and grocery stores within walking distance. If you are looking for a comfortable and also affordable place to stay, you should look at this place.

Shoji's place is exceptional. It's a beautiful, roomy house and it had all the amenities we needed. Shoji was very helpful, picking us up from the train station, giving us a detailed tour of the house, and coming over on short notice to fix an issue we were having with one of the appliances.
