The house is at the heart of the historic center of Oeiras, a typical Portuguese town - pedestrian streets, farmers market, bakery, cafes, local shops, public library, parks and, of course, the beach and the marina. Prepare for sleeping well, listening to the birds in the morning and the church bell (only during the day). You will also have access to the use of our relaxing outdoor patio, complete with BBQ, table, chairs and an outdoors couch. Bring your book and a refreshing drink - life is good. We and our two children live next door, so you can be assured we will be around to cater to any question or need. We love meeting new people but we're also happy to just give you your keys and some recommendations and leave you alone to explore and relax. We'll be your perfect neighbours, out of your way but around in case you need anything! Oeiras historic center is a gem we fell in love with in 2015 when we returned to Portugal. A beautiful safe town on a sandy beach, with cobblestone streets where you can walk or cycle, a perfect sense of community, lots of History with the Palace, the church, the well kept romantic parks, fabulous and diverse food options (traditional and modern), art galleries, theaters, markets, museums, the marina with all its outdoor and ocean options, and less than 20 minutes from downtown Lisbon, Sintra and Cascais. Some call it Lisbon's beach district, we call it home.
