Dongchonjae is located in Seochon Village, close to Gwanghwamun Square and Gyeongbokgung Palace, the center of Seoul. Built about 100 years ago, Dongchonjae is a traditional Hanok officially certified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Tourism Organization. Dongchonjae has been operated since October 2020 by a retired couple who opened their home. Dongchonjae is on a 380.17m² plot of land It consists of one building, and the space is divided into the main building (Anche/Main House), Sarangchae/Detached House, and Annex. Guests have exclusive use of the main house and the annex. The host lives in the detached house, and will personally assist you with necessary services such as providing breakfast. I hope you can comfortably feel the tranquil beauty and subtle atmosphere of a traditional hanok at Dongchonjae. It is a quiet, pastoral, and exotic small rest area in the forest, located on a hill on Nanhan River Road 59, a 10-minute drive from Dan Yang. It can be used by up to 2 people for 1 person, and there is no additional charge. You can enjoy the wonderful river view from the window and see the garden that the owner lady cultivates in the backyard. BBQ is available, and there is an additional charge of 20,000 KRW for charcoal on the grill. Handmade sandwiches and Americanos are served between 8am and 10am. Dogs allowed (up to 1, 10,000 KRW extra.) It is connected to the parking lot, so you can park right in front of the room, and it is free. Take it easy at this quiet getaway.
