Although temperatures remain relatively constant throughout the year the weather is marked by two distinctive seasons: the rainy season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April). During the rainy season the mountains and volcanoes surrounding the lake are verdant green. The mornings are generally crystal clear, while the afternoons bring spectacular showers that are a sight to behold as they roll in over the lake. During the dry season it is rare to receive any precipitation at all. La Casa Colibri has five luxurious guest rooms each with en-suite bath. Four rooms have spacious balconies overlooking the lake. Two rooms have deep soak tubs with separate showers. Our cozy cottage features sleeping accommodations for 8 people with 2 full bathrooms, all situated in the private Yacht Club, which is a gated community. There are beautiful gardens to stroll through during your stay. The decor is very bright with lots of natural light and lots of areas to relax indoors or out. We live in the USA, but we do have a gardener/care taker on site to assist in any way during your stay and is available most days. The guards at the entrance can also assist.
