Cabin vacation rentals in San Juan River

As soon as we walked in we felt right at home. Dave's house is a cozy cabin nestled among the trees with great views, comfort, and serenity. The beds are comfortable with plenty of blankets & pillows, bathrooms are clean, well stocked with towels. We made several meals in the kitchen. There are plenty of utensils, dishes, pots/pans, etc. Drip and keurig coffee machines (with pods provided). Plenty of seasonings, some tea, honey, syrup etc were available. Dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent are also provided. Lots of games & movies to enjoy. A grill & gas fire table with propane are nice touches. We enjoyed the hot tub in the early mornings & in the evenings( hot tub towels provided).The canoe and paddle boat were added bonuses.We hiked Engineer mountain,drove million dollar highway to Ouray where we went horse back riding and shopped. Also easy drive to Durango. Grab pizza at the Schoolhouse. You cannot go wrong with Dave's place. Highly recommend. We would definitely book again

My husband, me and my three children truly enjoyed our stay! We tried to go to Dolores twice a year and more excited to know that we found a new place for the family to stay everything about. It is absolutely perfect we just wish we could bring our dogs 🖤 It was easy access the river was beautiful, cozy outdoor firepit ! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and baking! The house was well stocked of anything that we needed that we may have forgotten and the host was extremely easy to contact when needed. We notice some flyers for the ranch next-door and was able to enjoy an afternoon of horseback riding one minute from the home!! The next day, we went ouray our favorite place ! Next time we’ll be sure to make a stop and Telluride again! Thank you so much for opening your beautiful home to our family we are so grateful!!! 🖤 the Anderson family !!!

We totally enjoyed our stay at Bear's Den. It is everything we usually look for in a place to stay. Beautiful location. CLEAN. Well maintained. And allowed our pups to stay with us. It was a little small for the 6 of us....but overall worked out well. The back deck was my favorite and we enjoyed eating and relaxing on the deck. The nearby lake was really fun to take a rental boat and explore. We also visited Mesa Verde and took the grandchildren on the Durango Silverton train. We would highly recommend Bear's Den. Beautiful cabin! Loved my stay here was perfect for my doggies and fiancé we felt comfortable, the cabin was so much prettier in person and so clean. Everything was great about this location I would love to be back

This cabin is located very close to all great destinations we wanted to visit. Cabin has everything you would need for a comfortable stay, very clean. Views were just breathtaking. Highly recommend this property.

Place is as shown. Zipline was fun didnt realize was on property. Distance from anytime 45min plus. Peaceful and very comfortable

I had SUCH a wonderful stay at James and Kims' lovely cabin. It was adorable and comfortable. Close enough to town to easily pop in for groceries and such but still had that wonderful "away from it all" feeling. The cabin is located on a beautiful property with a gorgeous stream running right behind it and beautiful views of the mountains all around. James and Kim were extremely helpful, responsive, and kind. Can't recommend this place enough!

Description was spot on and this is definitely a place to get away and relax. Amazing opportunities for stargazing and relaxing by the fire. Also, the location makes for a convenient home base to explore Ouray, Telluride, etc. We would stay again if we were to come back to the area in the future!

My husband and I had so much fun last year at Amy's place, we had to come back! We love winter activities, so if you are looking for a private little getaway to do some hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, or XC skiing, this is the place for you! I also love that this little cabin, although remote, has all the amenities you need to be comfortable just as if you were home. I have a very demanding job which requires me to work even on vacation, so I really appreciated the fast and reliable WiFi so I could check email and stay plugged in. The furnished kitchen came with all the necessary cooking essentials and appliances to make our trip easy. All we had to bring was a cooler of food. The cabin even comes furnished with a TV, washer and dryer, so you can pack light! Amy has always done a great job communicating with us and has been so helpful keeping us apprised of the snow report leading up to our trip. This is a must-visit location! We'll be coming back!

This cabin is great! We were not there to ski so it being close to Purgatory was not a perk for us. However, we liked being outside of Durango and driving to the different places did not bother us at all. Just keep this in mind if that is a potential concern for you. It was pretty chilly when we arrived but the ambient heaters and the faux fireplace in the living area warmed it right up. This may seem strange to some, but the TP quality was great! I always pack my own when we drive but John's wasn't the usual cheap, thin, one-ply stuff I normally encounter. He also provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash which isn't always the case. Made it super easy to stay here! One thing to note, however, is that the shower is very small. Water temperature and pressure is fine, but the stall is pretty tiny. John was very responsive when I had a question or needed some additional help.

An absolutely amazing place. I loved the privacy. I was able to take my SUP to the lake and had it mostly to myself. Place was spotless and many bedrooms which were not pictured. Nice and close to Meas Verda. The view of the lake from upstairs was breathtaking. I would love to come again.

We had a fantastic stay. The host was amazing and accommodated all our requests very fast. We stay here with our 8 month old baby and it had everything we needed to rock him to sleep and space for him to play. Definitely would come back and stay here again.

Wonderful stay! Beautiful views, and very peaceful. Had a minor issue with the fireplace, the host was very responsive and sent someone out right away. The issue couldn't be immediately fixed, but they made sure we were comfortable and let us know they were actively working to get our issue fixed.

Kevin's cabin has stunning views of Mount Sneffels and is surrounded by groves of Aspen trees. It is the most peaceful location we've ever stayed at. Kevin was a very responsive host and was always willing to provide great local recommendations in Telluride and Ouray. I would absolutely recommend staying at his cabin.

The cabin is really nice and a lot bigger than expected. Location was perfect and amazing backyard. Little light pollution made for great star gazing.

My family and I stayed at this cozy log home for 5 days.The place is very spacious,clean,convenient parking and the views are amazing.Although the road that leads to it includes 3 miles of unpaved section,it is well maintained and excluding the winter accessible with any type of vehicle.The host is very friendly and communicative.We really liked our stay there and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes the mountains.Thank you Kim.

We purchased this trip as a Christmas gift for my FIL. He was able to invite his brother from CA and a good friend of his from CO. (I did try to convince them to take our granddaughter, but there is a 4 person max, so it was a no go!) My husband was more of the pack mule lol. We have already decided to book a trip again for just the two of us! So I can experience it and Sean can actually enjoy the trip and fish! I am excited and cannot wait to go! As a hostess, Bethany is top tier! You will not be disappointed!!

Great stay! Loved the secluded cabin. Saw lots of wildlife. We sat on the porch and deer just walked up next to us. Ben was a great host. The cabin is homey and well stocked. I would definitely go back. Beware of the elevation if you are not used to it and take precautions but it’s an awesome mountain getaway.

Where do I begin, Barneys place was cozy, clean, and thoughtful with all the amenities he included. We had the privilege of getting to know Barney on a personal level and hope to keep in touch. The views were stunning and my kids fully enjoyed the swing, the fire pit at night, as well as the lake on the boat. The area felt so safe and homey as well. We can’t wait to book another trip here in the future so we can make more memories. This was one of our favorite trips!
