Vacation rentals in Saimaa

Nice cabin, freshly renovated and fully equipped with everything you might need. It's easy to get to, as it's located close to the road, but that also means there’s some traffic noise, which could detract from the experience if you're looking for complete peace and quiet. However, the amenities more than make up for it—there's a lake, BBQ area, sauna, and plenty of activities like fishing and sports (volleyball, badminton, etc.). Overall, a great place for an active getaway.

Nice place, private, good sauna.

A cabin in a quiet lakeside location. The house has absolutely everything you need for life. There is a sauna next to the house. There is a boat and you can fish. The nearest town and supermarkets are a 12-minute drive away. At first the host didn't respond to messages and we were a little worried. But in 24 hours, she sent check-in instructions. The instructions are a little unclear and lacks the coordinates of the house. Maybe if she was in English it would be better because the translation from Finnish is not perfect. If you are coming from the south, the gps takes you to a dead end to a closed barrier. It can be opened, or you can drive in from the turn that is to the north. Please note, the listing says that cleaning is not included in the price, but the cost is not included. It turned out that you need to pay extra for cleaning another 120 euros!!! We left the house in perfect condition, not clear why such a high price. Overall, I liked everything.

Great house and communication thanks

We loved our stay at Ilkka's place. As soon as we arrived we felt right at home. It's the small details in the apartment that show that Ilkka put thought and care into the place. On the practical side: The place is in walking distance to the University, the supermarket and the bus stop. And if you look for something specific you can probably ask Ilkka and he has a recommendation ready for you :) So over all, we were very happy with our stay and would be glad to come back again at our next visit to Lapeenranta.

It was an awesome jump into the new year! We had 5 beautiful days in an wonderful cottage, surrounded by 100% Nature and 0% stress.

Our stay in at Villa Kurlikampi was perfect - the house and surroundings were beautiful and we were lucky to see it in the snow and the sun. We even saw the aurora from the hot tub! Henri and Heidi were very communicative and the house had everything we might need. Felt very private but was easy to find and very accessible to Mikkeli for shops etc. We had a lovely week and would thoroughly recommend this place. Thank you!
