You can get to two beautiful waterfalls from here. To get to the bigger falls, the bridge across the creek is gone, but you can wade through to get across to the trail on the other side.

You can spend a whole day around the bass lake area. Water sports is popular. The beach is nice and lot of people jump in for a swim when the weather is nice. There is live music summer weekends (check schedule).

Glacier point which is a good Half dome viewing area is 45 miles and takes us about 1.5hrs to drive if there is no traffic. We prefer going early to avoid traffic.
You can also go when the moon is low and see the majestic milky way. Photographers get to try out your show off your skills.

If you have a budding paleontologist, the Fossil Discovery Museum is an awesome place to check out. They have a full Columbian Mammoth on display that gets gasps every time. Kids can even look for their own fossils.

It’s an awesome, small ski resort (one of the first in the country). The lodge is great, with decent food, and cozy places to chill if you want a break from the slopes. Their Badger Pup program is really great for children. Reasonably priced.
