This recreational park is perfect for a run, leisurely stroll or just a walk before dinner. Intertwined gravel paths make for a fascinating labyrinth while never straying far from my apartment.

Yes you can by marihuana here!. Is it legal... well the verdict is still out. Christiana is a freetown with an abundance of interesting sights and surprisingly tasty food. A must during x-mas.

This is where I run. Beautiful lake in the outskirts of Copenhagen. Originally this lake served as a water reservoir for the city but has since taken its place as a local favourite for a stroll, running and leisure time in the massive park north of the lake 'Damhus engen' Be sure to visit the ice cream parlour at the bottom of the lake.

Værnedamsvej is a microcosmos. Cool cafés (try Granola), trendy shops, wine bars, take away shops etc. Its only a 300m stretch but really its got everything.

Founded by king Frederik the 4th and later redone by Frederik the 6th this garden has long been a favourite of locals and foreigners alike. Its got lakes, gravel paths, Frederiksberg castle, canals ( with guided tours in rowboats) a massive playground, kiosks etc. Its an integrated part of Copenhagen and the perfect spot for a stroll. Connected to Søndermarken which is also a park.

Entertainment & Activities

The public pool/springboard/bathing installation is ideal for families. A bit crowded on summerdays, but still superb for a day out with kids. Bring towels, sunscreen and an apetite for icecream.

Children

Wonderful open park with a playground for children. In the summertime there is a manned station that lends playthings out to children free of charge. Great for hanging out and enjoying a bit of nature while the children are playing.
