A nice place nearby is a Georgian restaurant Chachapuri. They use to bring chacha (Georgian homemade brandy) as an appetizer))

In case you would like to try some Ukrainian cuisine in a touristy spot — my guess will be that "Kanapa" is the best among the restaurants on Andreevskiy decent. They have sort of fusion cuisine of course with Ukrainian emphasis.

Nice, somewhat hidden, but trendy coffee shop. You need to go through the archways to get there.

One of the best breweries you can find in Kiev. You should try a set of their beers. Nice summer terrace too.

Sightseeing
If you are around these places do not miss a walk along Peizazhna Alley - one of my favorite places in Kiev (although got a bit touristy in recent years). Great views of the river and the left bank. Buy fresh coffee from one of many small vendors, or if you are more adventures, take the concrete stairs (that go under a path) and have a small picnic on the hills overlooking the city.
