Brunch spot! HOWEVER, it's usually busy. I'd go put your name in and then head back to the listing and shower, grab one of my local guides and then head over. Getting there at 9:30 is perfect timing.

It's gonna be busy if you go at night on a weekend but the pizza is great and it's an experience. You can also order a pie by calling ahead and then just go to the front of the line.

So, it's not so much the coffee (though it is iconic) but rather the atmosphere inside the Ace Hotel that it's connected to. Great for sitting comfortably while reading the New York Times. I once saw RZA from Wu Tang here. Check it out.

So, if you're actually going here then make sure you ask me about it. This entire building used to be a hub for criminals and corrupt politicians. A rich history linked to the Kennedys and Jimmy Hoffa. Even the restaurant is named after the crooked bartender who used to run the place out of the same exact location.

Wonderful collection of mid century furniture. It's a bit hard to find but worth it once you get up there. Amazing space on the 5th floor of an old warehouse. ALSO, they made a lot of the furniture we sit on in the office.
