A popular walking trail from Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty (and visa versa) with a cafe at each end, a well made path and regular seating. If you enjoy a good walk/hike, there are plenty of trails in Adelaide - whether easy, short, long, or difficult, there are plenty to choose from. Many can be accessed via public transport. And keep the camera handy! There's a great website listing walking trails that may be of interest. https://www.alltrails.com/australia/south-australia/walking

The extension of Rundle Mall (shopping precinct) is Rundle St, with lovely al fresco dining and food outlets and restaurants. It's also the way to reach Rymill Park where the Fringe (Feb/March each year) is held ('Garden of Unearthly Delights' and 'Gluttony' venues). Many other events held in Rymill Park during the year.

Traveler advice

Getting around

We recommend the tram.

Tram is 5 mins walk away on Glengyle Ave. Trams come every 15 mins. Regular and reliable. New trams make them very comfortable. We keep Metrocards in the guest folder at home that can be topped up on the tram. Or single tickets can be purchased at the machine on the tram (payment by cash, credit card). Only one tram line - to Glenelg (beach) and to city and onward to Entertainment Centre, so can't get lost!! Bus is also easy to access with the bus stop next to the Centro (Kmart) shops on Anzac Highway.
Getting around

The metroCARD Visitor Pass costs $25, and is available at the airport on arrival on the ground floor arrivals (at the bottom of the escalator) and also WH Smith. It is pre-loaded and ready for immediate use (including on the J1 bus into the city from the airport). The Visitor Pass is valid for 3 consecutive days, starting from the first day of validation. At the end of the 3 day period the metroCARD Visitor Pass can be recharged with regular metroCARD fare credit. The Adelaide Metro Visitor Pass will get you where you want to go using Adelaide Metro buses, trains and trams. Can also
