Situated on Liberty Island, the Statue of Liberty has been the long-standing symbol of America's freedom. As a suggestion, take the free Staten Island ferry to go right in front of the Statue of Liberty if you want a great view. Once you’re on the Liberty Island/inside the Statue of Liberty, you can’t really see the statue anymore so unless you’re interested in learning the history/construction of the statue, just take the free Staten Island ferry! If you do plan on going to Statue of Liberty, book your tickets in advance!

Roosevelt Island is the island between Manhattan and Queens. It is super peaceful, and there's a waterfront you can walk along to get a great view of Upper Manhattan. Beautiful at night, you can also take the tramway (part of the MTA subway/bus system) to get here! You could also take the F train. Highly recommend; this is one of my absolute favorite spots in NYC!
