This is a great, late night, date night for the two of you in the summer. Drinks & snacks are offered and live music too. You can stroll around the top deck or sit under the stars on a bench. Seeing Portsmouth all lit up at night from a boat is priceless.

This is a great outdoor venue for summer theater and live music like Mavis Staples and Taj Mahal, Keb Mo. Everyone sits on the grass in a lawn chair or blanket. Very family friendly or a fabulous date night. When the show's over, take a walk down to "The Press Room" for a cold draft and a bite to eat. If it's a Friday night they are sure to have a great band to dance to. If you take an early meal there, say around 4pm, you'll get to hear some local musicians playing folk music in the corner.

Food Scene

This is my favorite local bakery because it is consistently staffed well, service is quick and the breads, cakes and sandwiches are tops. My favorite is a "build your own sandwich" where you get exactly what you want. I like the bacon, lettuce, tomato on rosemary bread. Oh, and you don't want to miss their buttery raspberry filled crescents. The chocolate one is equally as amazing.

Entertainment & Activities

It's an old theater that's been beautifully restored. It's had a renowned line up of performers from all over. I've seen Ray LaMontagne, Brandi Carlisle, Suzann Vega, Pat Benatar, George Winston. Banff film festival is shown there. Drinks and snacks are offered.
