Food Scene

Get the purple (Ube) flavor! It's one of the most dynamic complex ice cream flavors I've had in the world. Definitely, way better than anything we can buy in an American supermarket.

This is an all-you-can-eat-buffet styled restaurant for Hot-Pot and Korean BBQ. It's very delicious and affordable. Birthday groups love this venue because the birthday person gets their meal for free.

One of the last remaining great Dim Sum halls. They are surviving gentrification because their food is epic. Be prepared to use body language as some of their employees are not totally fluent in English.

This is my second favorite noodle shop. Second because it gets so busy, you need to get aggressive to put in an order. The noodles are made fresh which gives them a chewier, springier, more fun to eat texture. Be prepared for a line!

They only make four sandwiches and all of them are amazing. The Viet styled coffee is definitely worth trying (coffee in my home neighborhood area is nowhere as good as European coffee shops)

The wonton egg noodle dish here is a traditional Chinatown classic hit. Most of their menu is amazing and they've been featured on NYTimes, etc for many decades. It is quite famous so be prepared for long lines (except on rainy days)

Parks & Nature

The Pokemon Go, Ingress Prime, Jurassic Park Go, Walking Dead Go players will love this park. Everyday hundreds of kids show up to catch exotic pokemon, dinosaurs, or zombies. It's a hotspot for those types of games due to a tight clustering of portals and their high frequency spawn-times.

Sightseeing

The big arch is on Canal and Bowery. Be careful because New Yorkers drive aggressively and may not stop in time if you are in the middle of the road. Do not use the bicycle path! Cross the street and use the pedestrian path!

This place is cheap, has a BYOB option, better for folks who can't sing with strangers. They can host small groups to large parties and also have a small stage for those enthusiastic showstoppers!

This club is really popular. Try your best to stay calm when celebrities and their bodyguards cut the line (which may be quite often). Lots of different floors to party on too! Make sure the whole group is with you because all exits are final.
