Parks & Nature

Pak Nam Pran or Pranburi Estuary covers the area from Pranburi Forest Park to Pranburi Beach. Where Pranburi River flows into the Gulf of Thailand, the area is home to a lush mangrove forest, a small fishing community and a handful of luxury spa resorts with stunning designs and sweeping ocean views. About 30 minute’s drive from Hua Hin, Pak Nam Pran is blessed with picturesque scenery. Rows of swaying casuarina trees line the endless miles of white sandy beach stretching towards the south. Just north of it, a verdant mangrove forest extends from the Pranburi River and merges with Pranburi Forest Park.

Further south of Hua Hin you will find Khao Takiab beach which is quieter than Hua Hin. Although the first kilometre can be busy with restaurants and deck chairs, you'll find some more secluded sites, with watering holes, at regular intervals as you walk south. Watersports are becoming more popular and include jetskiing, kiteboarding, waterskiing and banana boats. However, please do take care with these activities. Accidents can and do happen - some unfortunately fatal - and you will not get much sympathy from the Thai authorities if you have been reckless.

Just a 10 minutes ride away from Villa Casa Negra you will find Sai Noi beach. Its a small and still quiet beach that makes for a great day away from bussy Hua Hin, but try to go during the week.
