Ganes Reserve is a recreation area located in the beachside suburb of Point Lonsdale on the Bellarine Peninsula. It is situated between Ocean Road and Laker Drive, not far from the well-known Point Lonsdale Lighthouse.
The Reserve area has a playground, picnic area, an open grass area, and a wetland area with walkway and viewing platform. It is also home of the Point Lonsdale Tennis Club, which has four artificial grass courts (with lights), two plexipave courts, a practice wall, and clubrooms.

Beautiful walk around Lake Victoria. ake Victoria is a shallow sub-coastal lagoon forming part of the Swan Bay systems of wetlands on the Eastern Bellarine Peninsula, south-east of Geelong.
It is part of the Lonsdale Lakes Nature Reserve administered by Parks Victoria. Lake Victoria, although it varies in water level, provides a relatively stable environment for waterbirds, maintaining its high salinity even when full and never drying out in summer. Saltmarsh is the dominant vegetation around the lakeshore. It is a natural lake but has been modified by shell-grit mining. Water enters the lake through urban run-off, rainfall and slow seepage. There are breeding records for five species and it often supports thousands of birds. The highest ever recorded as 10,062 birds in 2000.
The lake is of international significance for Red-Necked Stints, Banded Stilts and the globally endangered Orange-Bellied Parrot.

For the more adventurous, grab your day pack and explore Lovers Walk. It meanders through the Coastal Moonah Woodland along the top of the Santa Casa, Narrows and Springs beaches. Along the way you'll find stunning native flora, local wildlife and plenty of places to view and access the beach.
There are numerous places to start, finish and access Lovers Walk, including the Ocean View car park near the Queenscliff Lighthouse; Henry Street; Fraser Street; and the Narrows Beach car park. Lovers Walk also links up with the Point Lonsdale Promenade at Narrows Beach.
Lovers Walk is quite narrow in parts and very sandy underfoot, so you'll need to watch your step.
