On the edge of Ann Arbor, Parker Mill Park is one of the most photogenic parks in the area. Walking paths take you through wooded trails, next to Fleming Creek, and even out to Huron River.

On your visit to Detroit, make sure you check out Belle Isle. Originally designed by urban park developer Frederick Law Olmsted, who was known for his design of Central Park in NYC, the island has gone through it's own revitalization along with the city.

The dock is great to hang out on but be respectful of crew team members - they own the dock can close it down if people abuse the open access they generally allow. The park also has walking paths and a disc golf course for you to enjoy.
