It’s walking distance from the house! Folks from all over town and neighboring cities come here for donuts. You’ve got to try any of their cake donuts. Red velvet, vanilla sprinkle, coconut. You can’t go wrong!

This a beautiful hike to the tallest peak in the valley. It gives you a 360-degree view of the entire valley.
However, it’s extremely difficult! Yes, it’s very short, but gains over 1200 feet of elevation in that short span. There are multiple helicopter rescues each summer because of over confident hikers. Please assess your fitness level and make smart decisions for this hike.

This wonderful hike is just a few minutes farther west than Camelback Mountain. It also is another short, but steep climb. Not as difficult as Camelback, but still very challenging.
The surrounding trail system within the Phoenix Mountain Preserve provides easier hikes with a beautiful experience of our local, desert landscape.
This state park sits on the edge of the majestic Superstition Mountain Range. Only 35 minutes from the house, this area plays host to one of the most photographic mountain faces in the valley. Just do a quick search to see what we mean!
For a history lesson, visit Goldfield Ghost Town. They have gold mine tours and wild west re-enactments.
If you're looking for a hike, there are plenty of leisurely strolls through the park. A challenging, but rewarding hike is Siphon Draw to Flat Iron. This will take you to the top of the mountain face looking West towards all of the Phoenix Metro area.
