Our favourite beach

Absolutely beautiful! Miles and miles of sandy beach, dog-friendly, great for children as there is a channel close to the beach huts and a lifeguarded section. If you're heading to the coast, you must see Wells!!

Another sandy beach! If you're chasing the surf, check out Mundesley surf school 'Glide', there are also lifeguards at this beach. Enjoy a surf lesson and finish off with a pub meal overlooking the beach at the Ship Inn. Or if you're looking for a little more secluded beach, try Trimingham - it's next door, and has free parking down the little track on Vale rd.

My favourite surf spot!

Surfs up!? Check out the beautiful seaside town of Cromer! With a spectacular pier, NO.1 fish and chip shop (highly recommend) and try out some surfing with Glide!! Top surf spot in Norfolk, head over to Glide Surf School for some lessons or surfboard hire, and check out Norfolk's waves - waves are best 2hrs before and after high tide, to the right of the pier.

Our favourite rivers

Lovely river in the heart of Norfolk, canoe and SUP hire available from the Rising Sun. My favourite spot for paddleboarding, enjoy the calm river on the broads and finish up with a pint at the Rising Sun pub!

Just 2 miles away we are so lucky to have the River Wensum. A perfect place to swim at the falls and take our kayaks down the river. Or if you don't fancy a swim, take the path from Swanton Morley church and walk along the river.

Norwich city is a 30 min drive away, or accessible via bus 4 and bus 8 - top tip: buy a return ticket to norwich on bus 4 at Swanton Morley bus stops (opposite the angel pub), then switch to bus 8 at Dereham market place town (cross the road near the cinema). Lots to do in Norwich, check out Norwich Castle, see the old streets such as Elm Hill, and head into the shops at Chaplefield/Intu.

Sightseeing

Enjoy a picnic overlooking the castle ruins at Castle Acre, it's free to enter, then walk to Castle Priory - much larger ruins, you're able to view them from a distance for free or explore them up close for a small fee.
