Traveler advice

Getting around

Bike when possible!

When staying near downtown take advantage of the parkway to bike around downtown, mid-town, and east Sacramento. Bike and walk down lovely tree lined streets. Find light rail when convenient. Uber/Lyft/Taxi is always available and most drives are short.
Don't miss

Aftershock Festival

Come join thousands of people at one of Sacramento’s, and the worlds, greatest rock concerts. Usually held in the fall.
Don't miss

Crocker Art Museum

A Northern California gem. The areas best art exhibits
Book before you go

The Kitchen

The areas finest restaurant. $$$$. Worth the visit if you’re a major foodie!
What to pack

Summer time

Like most CA locations, very little rain May-October. Prep of sunshine. Especially in SacTown, it can get hot.
Don't miss

American River

Make your way to the American River to play, hang, swim, paddle board, wake board, and much more!
