Motorsport

Cadwell Park is a jewel in the Wolds, known as the Mini-Nurburgring the track is narrow, twisty and hilly. The Mountain is famous as the only jump on a UK circuit. You can watch top class motorcycle racing, club level car or bike racing, and watch or take part in track days. Worth noting that whilst races are ticketed (cheaper in advance) track days are free to spectate. Nice facilities, food and drink, toilets etc.

Lovely wildlife park not far from Louth, on the outskirts of Horncastle. Run by big cat enthusiasts, there are Tigers, Lions, other big cats, Bears, Zebra, etc. We’ll kept, good food and drink, plenty of parking.

Brilliant spot to visit the seal breeding ground. Site managed by wildlife trust, just pay ~£5 for parking. Seals arrive late October and are around until mid December. Check the Donna Nook site for details on numbers - the last few years they have had >1500 pups over the season.

Walk past St James church to the far end of Westgate and the park leading to Hubbard Hill is through the gateway. At the far end of the park, walk out of the gate to the right, further park is just out of sight along the lane. Or keep to the left and walk along the top of Hubbards Hills beside the golf course. Links back up with the bottom route at the far end, via some steps.

Bands playing most Saturday nights, either the house band or from further afield. Doesn’t look much from outside, but there’s a warm welcome inside.
