The theatre is set on the Old Town / New Town bank of the Vltava River, one bridge along from Charles Bridge. For Czech people, the National Theatre is one of the most important cultural institutions in Prague - since inception, a symbol of the Czech National Revival.

The project of „floating restaurant“, the newest addition to the Grosseto hospitality group began two years ago. The restaurant has two floors; lower floor offers three separated sections with exhibition kitchen. Open deck on upper floor is an ideal place for romantic lunch or dinner or perhaps just a glass of wine in the beautiful surroundings of old Prague and spotless view of Prague castle and Charles bridge, or enjoy a drink in one of our free bars.

Enjoy carefully treated beer and freshly prepared homemade food. We draught the beer straight from the tanks via the shortest route into your pint glass, where it remains fresh until the last sip. We make real homemade meals, therefore our "ready meals" are prepared for you constantly throughout the day. Our cooks prepare classic Czech dishes, using only fresh ingredients and spices sourced from renowned regional suppliers."

In the 10th century, 70 years after the establishment of Prague Castle, a church and fortified trading post were built on a cliff top overlooking the Vltava River, on the heights of Vysehrad. Although not much remains of the castle today, Vysehrad Park none-the-less makes a pleasant excursion out of the hustle and bustle of Prague's city centre

Dancing House (Tančící dům) is set in a fine location by the Vltava River in Prague. Its design is unique, and especially striking in the city centre because it is a modern building surrounded by historic architecture. Dancing House was constructed between 1992-1996. It has daring, curvy outlines, which led its architects Vlado Milunc and the American Frank Owen Gehry to initially name it the "Fred and Ginger Building", after the legendary dance duo. The top floor of Dancing House is the only part of the building open to the public, and is home to one of the city's leading restaurants

The Astronomical Clock, built in to one side of the Old Town Hall Tower, dates from the 15th century. To fully appreciate the clock's intricate construction, join the crowd in front of the tower to watch the procession of the Twelve Apostles: on the hour, every hour, a small trap door opens and Christ marches out ahead of his disciples, while the skeleton of death tolls the bell to a defiant statue of a Turk.

Prague Castle was most likely founded in around 880 by Prince Bořivoj of the Premyslid Dynasty (Přemyslovci). According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Prague Castle is the largest coherent castle complex in the world, with an area of almost 70,000 m². A UNESCO World Heritage site, it consists of a large-scale composition of palaces and ecclesiastical buildings of various architectural styles, from the remains of Romanesque-style buildings from the 10th century through Gothic modifications of the 14th century. The famous Slovenian architect Josip Plečnik was responsible for extensive renovations in the time of the First Republic (1918-1938). Since the Velvet Revolution, Prague Castle has undergone significant and ongoing repairs and reconstructions

Once a normal wall, since the 1980s it has been filled with John Lennon-inspired graffiti and pieces of lyrics from Beatles' songs. Located in a small and secluded square across from the French Embassy, the wall received its first such decoration following the 1980 assassination of John Lennon when an unknown artist painted a single image of the singer-songwriter and some lyrics.

Built as a mini version of Paris's Eiffel Tower, the Petrin Observation Tower was built in 1891 for the Jubilee Exhibition. The tower is 60m tall, which doesn't seem particularly high until you add in the fact that it sits at the summit of Petrin Hill, which is 318m (1043 feet) high. Climb the 299 steps to reach the top of the tower and the view over Prague is magnificent.
