Bike riding on a Sanibel is a must! Check out the historic lighthouse, take a day for shelling, paddle board, kayak, you name it. If you’re feeling super adventurous, grab your bike and ride the entire island.. Sanibel to Captiva, round trip, roughly 30 miles. You can do it.

Quintessential old Florida fishing town. If you’re not into fishing, I promise you’ll be into the people… laid back crowd looking for a beer and a good vibe. Depending on the time of your visit, head to Bokeelia for stone crab claws! Berts Bar, Blue Dog, Fish house are my top food spots. I also recommend heading out earlier to check out Leoma Love Grove’s Art Gallery.

Shop local! This family owned parlor has an excellent outdoor space consistently utilized with a variety of events. Check out their Facebook page for updates. The couple who owns the little boutique/hangout spot, will always make you feel welcome… whether to ask about your day or offer you a drink to cool off while enjoying their plant filled outdoor area.

To continue your classic Fort Myers tour, the Verandah is a classy, little dinner spot located in downtown. The old historic home/now restaurant is overflowing with historic photos and pieces of Fort Myers. Food is great, a little on the pricey side. If you’re not up for a big meal, stop by for a martini at happy hour? There’s typically a piano man entertaining in the bar area.

Originally from Fort Myers, Norman Love has stole the show in all things chocolate. The Mcgregor store offers indoor and outdoor seating for you to enjoy a coffee, glass of wine, gelato, macaroons, chocolate, cookies & more. Typically my post Sanibel bike ride spot on the way back home to Braman.
