Emil and his family have owned and operated the restaurant for years. It’s famous for breakfast and does not take reservations. If you get there by 9 am, you should be fine!

Local’s hangout - happy hour favorite and great food by long time chef. Say hello to Tom, bartender and awesome local. Nick has retired to golf but his legacy lives on in Sedona!!

The building housed a TB sanitarium in the past and is said to be haunted. The long range views of Sedona from the dining room are stunning and unsurpassed. It’s casual with delicious food, and the visual feast looking out over the Valley tops off the experience. One way alleys must be used to get there (follow your GPS and the signs). Parking can be tough and steep. Again, all worth it for the food and views but could be difficult for those with mobility challenges.

Sightseeing

Jerome is an old mining town up on the mountain facing Sedona from the South (just follow 89A south) It’s haunted (according to legend), is very artsy boutiquey with a humorous take on the old booze and brothel businesses from the past. The restaurants are great and long range views of Sedona make it well worth the drive.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Walking and Trailhead Shuttle Service

Sedona is packed with annual visitors approaching 5 million people. It has less than 10,000 residents and only the infrastructure to support that population size. You might ask yourself: why not expand? Sedona is surrounded by National Forests and Wilderness Areas. There is literally nowhere to put more roads. Which leads to the issue I’d like you to know before your visit. From Riley’s Respite neighborhood entrance, there are broad sidewalks all the way to uptown Sedona with a Trailhead Shuttle and Talaquepaque along the way. Consider walking instead of getting stuck in your car in traffic. ❤️
Book before you go

Dinner Reservations

Just as in other places right now, Sedona is experiencing an issue attracting enough staff due to sky high housing costs, and the restaurants are feeling it. Go to OpenTable and make sure you plan ahead! ❤️
Customs and culture

Be kind.

The traffic and crowd situation in Sedona can be frustrating, but we are all in this together. Please let someone merge or step in front of you and send them a peace sign with a smile. We are all in paradise here; never forget your gratitude for all that is here for you. ❤️
