Friday = market day! It's not very big, but it's bursting of life! Lots of choice for having a drink or eating something. It starts in the early afternoon and remains open until 21h00.

The best "fritkot' in Brussels. They serve french fries in a traditional paper cone. Their fame went international when Angela Merkel (German Prime Minister) went for a late night snack in between Brexit negotiations...

Arts & Culture

The "Art Nouveau" building from Horta (famous architect in Brussels) is already worth a visit. Plenty of old and new instruments are on exhibit. But our favourite events are the "Concerts du Midi". Every Wednesday you can experience a nice classical concert for €5-9 only. The restaurant has quite a reputation and I heard their brunch is exquisite!

Doing groceries at "The Barn" is an experience. Most goods are sold in bulk to reduce plastic waste consumption. Their fruit & vegetables are excellent! Containers are sold separately, so bring your own if you can!

Closer to our place than Delirium & Toone, this place offers a smaller but very well chosen selection of beers. They have 7 beers on draft and more than an enough bottled beers for you to choose from. The barman provides very good advice based on your taste.

Parks & Nature

The "Cinquentenaire" park is the biggest park in the city centre. It hosts the art & history museum as well as some military collections. The park itself provides plenty of space to pick-nick, walk or play some sports. If you brought your shoes you can join the many runners and run around the park. The distance of the outer circumference is 2,5km.

Sightseeing

The "Grand Place" is a typical example of Northern Europe's city squares. It is surrounded by corporation houses, each decorated with their own tools etc... Don't expect to see too many Brusseleirs here, but tourists love it! The lighting makes it a wonderful stop at night.
