Sightseeing

Popular sightseeing village on the island. Independent shops, tea rooms and restaurants. Take a evening walk through The Chine and along the seafront - don't worry there's lift back to the top of the cliff.

The Island’s oldest visitor attraction that’s been drawing visitors for over 200 years with its natural beauty and wonder. With the only pub on the beach on the island - The Fisherman's Cottage - https://shanklinchine.co.uk/fishermans-cottage/ (open seasonally), and the historic PLUTO (https://shanklinchine.co.uk/pluto/) it's well worth a visit... https://shanklinchine.co.uk/

City/town information

Nearest town to us... independent shops and restaurants. Ryde is where the hovercraft comes in - always worth a watch. Appley Beach is a few minutes along the Esplanade with plenty of sandy beach - perfect for a day on the beach. There's a park opposite part of the beach and a café at either end of the seawall (Appley to Puckpool).
