Great breads, fresh bakery treats and chilled items such as hummus and pesto. Also, the freshest eggs in Windsor! Highly recommended and just a stones throw from the apartment.

The quintessential Windsor pub set in an iconic location (right by Windsor Castle). Highly recommend for a beer. Note: it's a very small pub, so if going for food I'd recommend booking in advance!

Sightseeing

A must if visiting Windsor. The largest inhabited Castle in the world! From the flat I'd recommend walking via the long walk. Head to this point: https://goo.gl/maps/TzFYtwvXmHS2 and you'll have views down the the castle, and back up the other way to the Copper Horse Statue of King George III.

Eton is a beautiful little town, oozing with character. It's only really one street, but at the end are the breathtaking buildings of Eton College. Definitely worth a visit and a very short walk over the river from Windsor.

I highly recommend the walk up to the Copper Horse statue if the weather is good. You'll be rewarded with stunning views back to Windsor Castle, out over the Great Park and even over to London on a clear day.

A large lake just out of Windsor. Definitely worth a visit if you have a car. The walk around the lake takes around 2 hours to complete. Beautiful gardens and some interesting statues en route!
