Beaches

You’re never too old or too young…..
One of the best and safest beaches for learning to surf, RNLI lifeguards are present from May-September. There are plenty of surf schools and places to hire boards and wetsuits. If you don’t fancy getting in the sea and prefer relaxing with a book, Polzeath is ideal as there is always plenty of room on the sand to set up camp, even at high tide. It’s easily possible to spend the whole day at Polzeath with shops, bars, cafes, ice cream parlours, restaurants all in and around the beach, meaning you won’t need to look far when hunger strikes. One of the best beaches in Cornwall for a family day out with plenty of parking either on the beach or the surrounding cliff top car parks.

The most South Westerly place in the UK. It’s only worth going to say you’ve been. Avoid paying to go in to the attraction. Circumvent it and head to the coast path where you will be able to get just as good a view of the Atlantic Ocean.
