Downtown Raleigh is a must see for travelers. Right near the skyscrapers you can find the old state capital (and other state legislative buildings), historic statues and monuments and the City of Raleigh Museum. Raleigh is home to the NC Museum of Natural Sciences (including the Living Conservatory), NC Museum of Art, and the NC Museum of History. Downtown also offers a plethora of restaurants and bars for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While restaurants throughout the day, Glenwood Ave. turns into Raleigh’s nightlife center on the weekends (starting around 10pm) right where you find Raleigh Beer Garden.
