A great, beautiful, and free local attraction where you can see the locks (how boats big & small move between the lakes and ocean), a fish ladder (especially during salmon runs!), and a botanical garden all in one spot.

A very walkable and wooded zoo that feels much more natural (ok, I guess much less unnatural) than most big city zoos. They also host some great concerts and holiday themes.
