A beautiful lake in the middle of Kandy. Well worth a walk around.
Don't actually go to the elephant orphanage. It is crowded and very 'staged' for tourists. Ask Rizvi to take you to some of the neighbouring elephant places where you will be the only people there.

The big Buddha will give you a great view out over Kandy. Well worth the climb. It costs 200 rps each. Get a hindu blessing while you are there (if the hindu temple is open)

If you are energetic climb Adam's Peak. The climb starts at 2:30am so that you are there for sunrise at 5:30am. Over 5000 steps, but well worth the effort.

Worth a look. Check out the meat market - it is very different to what you are used to. Go up stairs in the main building for cheap souvenirs.

The best way to get down to Colombo is by train. Observation class is Rps 800 per person. It is a very scenic trip and much less stressful than travelling by road.
