Traveler advice

What to pack

Bring water & wind-proof clothing

The weather in Scotland is very unpredictable and we can go through all 4 seasons in one day. I would always recommend brining an umbrella as well as a raincoat, as it can get too windy to use an umbrella.
Useful phrases

Scottish words you might not know

Aye = yes Wee = small Ken = know Bonny = beautiful/ nice Auld = old Hen/ Lass = girl Dinnae = don’t Piece = sandwich Tattie = potato
Book before you go

Restaurants

I highly recommend booking restaurants for evening meals before you arrive, as it gets very busy in Portree during the summer / bank holidays.
Getting around

Book a day tour

If you want to see as much as possible of Skye and learn interesting facts about all the places you visit, you could book a day tour with Skye Minibus Tours here: https://www.timberbush-tours.co.uk/our-tours/from-portree
