Whether wanting a beautiful spot for a picnic in the mountains or looking for an easy to moderate hike, Carr Canyon Picnic area is the place to start. You can hike about .6 miles in to reach the historic Carr ruins or continue on to the waterfall and other various trails that connect. You can also drive all the way up Carr Road where you will find two separate camp sites and the trailhead for Carr Peak.
