The Hall Walk, within yards of April Cottage, is a famous four-mile circular route, following the river via Pont Creek and round to Polruan. It involves taking two ferries. The walk is very ‘up and down’ and considered a moderate grade walk for this reason. However, there are many opportunities to stop and enjoy the countryside and riverside views.

Fowey is noted as a popular holiday destination and is only a hop, skip and a jump down the road from us and over the ‘Bodinnick Ferry’. There are many independent food outlets where good quality essentials can be purchased. There are a myriad of cafes and public houses selling food and drink throughout the day and evening. A gentle walk along to Readymoney Cove is a must. Kayaks and boats can be hired in the town.
