This beach is definitely one of my favorites. You are able to rent snorkel gear or scuba gear and go swimming with the fish (in which they usually give you a complimentary dog bone to feed the fish once you rent gear). This beach also has many restaurants aligned along the lower end of the beach. You can also rent beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. This beach is also next door to Coral World, our local aquarium.

Great beach, but not many amenities offered here. Here is where you can ride horses through the Golden Age Ranch (just contact them to book an excursion)

Food Scene - Feed Me Please!!

This category has all of the places that I have to eat at when I’m on the island.
This place has all of the best Caribbean cuisines dishes you could think of! Come here for a really authentic St. Thomian breakfast, lunch, or dinner! You must have a whole red snapper fish with the head still on it and everything. A must try! You can also watch the seaplane take off in the nearby harbor for St. Croix during morning and afternoon hours.

Lovango Restaurant has absolutely delicious food. To get to Lovango, which is located on another island near St. John, you have to catch a quick 10 minute ferry from Red Hook. The round trip fee for the ferry is around $20/pp. If you’d like to visit this restaurant, I recommend calling in advanced to find out more information in either spending the day or just having dinner at the resort.

Sightseeing

Come to Drake’s Seat to get the best views from above Magen’s Bay. You can also see the British Virgin Islands from this point. Sometimes, there’s a donkey dressed up in clothes and sunglasses for a tourist photo op.

I volunteered at this horse ranch during the beginning of Covid due to lack of support from community, and these horses are so lovable. Book an excursion with this company, and you can ride the horse in the beach waters. Very exhilarating! I believe the fee is 100/pp for 1.5-2hrs.
