Food Scene

We love to eat local and below are a handful of eateries that we return to again and again!
The best home made produce! This fabulous bakery has set up its shop in Newquay, in an A-frame building with the requisite exposed brick, wood burner and open-plan kitchen. It has the most stunning sourdoughs, artisan breads and possibly Cornwall's finest croissants and pains au chocolat!

Throughout the year they host feast and dining evenings mostly on Friday evenings. Each feast is different, from BBQ's and world food menus to wine paired dinners. If the weather is nice then feasts take place outside in the courtyard or around the grounds, for winter and wet weather feasts the vaulted barn is a gorgeous setting too. Wine tours can also be booked as part of the experience, we highly recommend their wine tour followed by their Sunday lunch!

Nestled on a quiet corner in the heart of Newquay, Jam Jar sized cafe, is located just a stones throw from the town centre and stunning local beaches. They specialise in great coffee, using Origin beans which are locally roasted to perfection. Daytime menu includes a wide range of organic teas, superfood smoothies, healthy breakfast bowls and freshly toasted bagels served throughout the day. Cakes are freshly baked daily. A short ramble across the river Gannel, tucked under a canopy of grape vines, you’ll find The Jam Jar Kitchen deep in the heart of Crantock village. Set within the courtyard of a pretty stone cottage, mornings here are made for gorging on coffee, homemade cakes and croissants (fresh from the bakery up the road) or enjoy a local ice-cream in the late afternoon sunshine and as the warm summer evenings descend head over for a freshly made artisan Pizza paired with a glass of wine.
