The best time to go to Puerto Madero is for a nice walk just before and during sunset time, for a beer during the week or to go at lunchtime during the week when it's quiet. It's just too packed at the weekend. La Dorita (Dique 2) has a great three-course with wine executive menu for $210 and is the best for a long, lazy lunch. On the same side and on the same dock as La Dorita there's a Volta ice-cream place and next to Volta is a nice cafe which is really fab for coffee and cakes.

Entertainment & Activities

Keep an eye on the website as there are always free concerts and exhibitions on here...you can take a tour too. It's a wonderful building. There is also fab street art by local and International street artists in the blocks surrounding the building. Although it's close to Puerto Madero it's not a place I'd walk to alone but the cycle lanes go right past there and the 130 stops nearby.
